Having issues with my GPU after shipping my gaming PC, what should I do?

I recently received my first gaming PC from a friend, and while it worked well before shipping, I'm now encountering some problems. When I plugged it in after getting home from work, I noticed horizontal lines on the screen, and the GPU (a Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 from Gigabyte) is showing error code 43. My friend and I spent about four hours updating, removing, and reinstalling the drivers, but we're still stuck. Is there something we might be overlooking, or could the GPU have been damaged during shipping?

It sounds like the GPU might have gotten a bit loose during transport. If it was shipped fully assembled, that could definitely be a possibility. I recommend checking the physical connection first—remove the GPU and reseat it in the slot. Sometimes connectors can come slightly undone which causes those kinds of errors.

Yeah, I removed the GPU and checked the PCIe connection, and it looks fine. How do I properly reset the hardware though?
