Having Trouble Booting Debian from USB – Need Help!

Hey everyone! I'm having some serious issues trying to boot Debian on my new PC. I've installed Linux Mint before with no problems, but now I'm running into troubles. I used Balena Etcher to create a bootable USB, and when I try to boot from it, I get the Debian installation menu as expected. However, whenever I select the graphical installer, my screen goes black and then my computer restarts, taking me back to the boot menu. I've been troubleshooting this for hours, and I'm stuck. I've also tried installing Manjaro and Linux Mint, but I face the same problem. My PC has an Intel Core i5 and an Nvidia GTX 970. Any suggestions would be really appreciated!

Make sure to flash the USB again; it might be corrupted. I suggest giving Fedora Media Writer a shot instead of Balena.

You could try booting from the USB without installing it first. When I'm stuck, I usually take baby steps to narrow down the issue.

It could be an Nvidia-related issue. You might want to try the regular (non-graphical) installer as it's often quicker and can sometimes bypass graphical problems on boot.

Have you thought about trying Ventoy instead of Balena Etcher? Sometimes Etcher creates issues with certain hardware. Also, it might be worth testing a different flash drive or plugging it into a different USB port.
