Hey everyone! I hope you're all doing well. I'm reaching out for some help because I'm trying to create a new Google account after my last one got compromised. Everything was going smoothly until I hit the phone number verification step. I only have one phone number, which I used for my previous account, but Google won't verify it. It's really confusing and stressful, especially since the number is brand new, just got it out of the store! I could really use some advice from anyone who knows about this. Thanks!

If you haven’t already, getting a different phone number from your provider could work. Sometimes even fresh numbers can get caught in these verification issues, but having a completely different one might help. Just keep in mind it can sometimes take a few tries to get a number that works!
I’d like to, but I don’t have the money for another new number right now.
If you're still stuck, why not consider using an alternative email service for now, like ProtonMail, Yahoo, or Outlook? I know you mentioned wanting a Google account for YouTube, but you can still create content without being tied to Google right away. Just a thought!
I really want a Google account just for the YouTube channel, that's why I’m stuck on this!
It sounds like Google might have flagged your number, possibly due to it being linked to your old account or some other reason. It's frustrating, but sometimes numbers get restricted from use due to security measures they've got in place. It might be worth trying to contact Google support directly to see if they can help you out. Hang in there!
Bro, I’m not a scammer either! I just want to be a creator, but my parents don’t support me financially.
It’s honestly ridiculous. Google’s protection measures feel like they hit real users the hardest, while scammers seem to slip through.
I actually bought that number just a couple of days ago, so that may not be the issue.
