Having WiFi Driver Issues After Building My New PC

I just completed my first PC build in a decade, but I'm running into trouble with my WiFi drivers. I'm using a Gigabyte B850I Aorus Pro motherboard, and after connecting to the internet, a software installer from Gigabyte popped up to take care of updates. I let it update all the necessary drivers, then I updated Windows 11 and rebooted my system. However, when I unplugged my Ethernet cable to move the PC to its new location, I noticed there was no WiFi option available at all. In Device Manager, I found the network adapter, but it shows an error message: "Windows cannot initialize the device driver for this hardware. (Code 37) The request is not supported." I've tried reinstalling the driver about eight times, and no luck. Any advice on what I can do to fix this? My PC is currently stuck in the kitchen, and I'm eager to move it!

It's a common pain with motherboards that come with built-in WiFi or Bluetooth. I’ve experienced issues across various brands like MSI and Gigabyte. Those automation programs? They're often not helpful at all, and you might want to disable them in the BIOS settings if you can. Also, if you reset your BIOS, make sure to uncheck that option again later.

I can see the WiFi adapter listed, but it won't accept the drivers no matter what I try. Seems like a lot of people with the same motherboard have been struggling with WiFi issues for months now. Guess I have to dig for solutions since this board was my only option!

Sounds like you're dealing with a bit of a headache! Since you're on Windows 11, it's good to double-check that you're using drivers that are compatible. Instead of relying on the Gigabyte software, try downloading the drivers directly from Realtek's website. Sometimes the bundled installers create conflicts. Good luck!

Yeah, I’m running Windows 11. I tried the drivers from the Gigabyte site, but I'm still getting that same error. Guess I need to find the Realtek site and see what they have available.
