Help! Can’t Access BIOS After CPU Upgrade

Hey everyone, I'm kinda new to PC building and I recently switched out my CPU. I moved from an i7 12700F to an i5 14600K. The computer seems to be running fine and feels a bit faster, but now I can't boot into the BIOS. There's no video output at all. Before the change, I had no issues accessing the BIOS. I've tried restarting to get into BIOS but it just doesn't work. I've plugged in DisplayPort cables to both my GPU and the integrated GPU and also tried HDMI, but still nothing. I did a few bench tests, and everything seems normal in terms of heat (staying around 35°C when idle and about 65°C under stress for the CPU). I'd love any tips on further troubleshooting this issue. I'm somewhat familiar with the topic, but please keep the advice simple. My motherboard is an MSI B760-P WIFI DDR4. Thanks!

Have you checked your RAM slots? Believe me, I’ve seen it happen; I once placed RAM in the wrong slot and it wouldn’t post. Just moved it to slot 2 and it worked! Can you try the old CPU again for testing? Oh, and make sure you're connecting the display to the graphics card and not the motherboard. Sometimes that trips you up too. 😄

Putting the old CPU back in is my last resort. I've tried all 4 RAM sticks in different slots, though. I found out that MSI motherboards can update the BIOS through MSI Center, so I'm doing that right now. After this, I’ll update some Intel drivers too, just in case.

First, double-check that all your power connections are secure, especially the 8-pin CPU cable. Clearing the CMOS might help as well. Also, did you update the BIOS before swapping CPUs? MSI boards needed a BIOS update around late 2023 to support the 14th Gen chips like your 14600K. If you can't find the flashback option, consider updating it via the usual method.

All the cables are connected, and I verified the BIOS before changing the CPU. It wasn't the latest version, but I had version 19, which should work. I will try updating the BIOS now. Do I need to update each version step-by-step, or can I just install the latest?

Didn’t work for me either, and I don’t see any flashback feature on my board.

I managed to sort it out by updating the BIOS through MSI Center. Huge thanks for everyone's help!
