I recently cloned my old Windows drive to a new SSD using DiskGenius. I configured my BIOS to boot from the new SSD, and it worked initially. However, after restarting my PC, it now fails to boot and only shows a recovery screen. The issue is, I've already wiped the old drive, so I can't revert back. I do have my sister's SSD with Windows on it that I might be able to use for repairs, but I'm not sure if that will help. Any suggestions?

You might want to recreate the Boot Configuration Data (BCD) using the recovery tool! Since you can access the command prompt from your sister's SSD, you should be able to run some commands there. Just make sure you're on Windows 10 or 11 because the commands can differ a bit. You can also create a bootable USB drive to fix the BCD directly on your new SSD if needed.
It's great that you can get into the command prompt! That means you have a chance to fix things from there. If the BCD is corrupted, using the command to rebuild it could get your system back on track. Just remember to check that you're targeting the right drives when you run the commands!
