I'm dealing with a Dell R540 server that has a RAID array consisting of 9 x 8TB drives, and one of them has failed. Since the server is out of warranty, I'm considering whether it's worth it to install a non-genuine hard drive as a replacement. What do you all think? Do I really need to stick to genuine Dell drives?

As long as the replacement drive has the same interface (SAS for SAS, SATA for SATA), you should be fine. Just make sure it’s an enterprise-grade drive. It’ll work without any issues.
