Help! Can’t Get Garuda Linux to Boot from USB

Hey folks! I've finally made the leap from Windows to Linux, and I've decided to try out Garuda because its gaming version has built-in NVIDIA support. I've followed the setup guide from their website to prepare everything:

- I used Etcher to create a bootable USB stick with the ISO, and the validation process didn't show any errors.
- I disabled Secure Boot in my UEFI settings.
- I couldn't find the Fast Boot option in my UEFI.
- I switched the SATA Controller to AHCI.

However, when I try to boot from the USB, all I get is a black screen with nothing else—no cursor or anything. I can hear my fans ramping up, though. My system specs are an AMD Ryzen 5600x, RTX 3060Ti, and an MSI motherboard. I'm really stuck here and would appreciate any help you can offer!

Definitely try using an Ethernet connection for the installation if you haven't done so already. It's a tip I’ve heard helps a lot. And make sure to remove the USB after installing! Have you checked to see if your monitor is set to the correct input source? Sometimes it's as simple as that!

Have you considered using Rufus to create your USB instead of Etcher? Some users have encountered issues with Balena. If that doesn't work, you might want to try the non-NVIDIA ISO and install the drivers later. Since your fans kick up, it sounds like your PC is trying to boot, but maybe there's no video output since your Ryzen 5600X doesn't have an integrated GPU.
