Help! Can’t Get My Bluetooth Keyboard to Work with Linux Install

I'm trying to switch from Windows to Linux Nabora because it's a cool gaming distribution. However, I'm running into a major issue. When I plugged in my USB to boot from it, my HP laptop automatically detected it but then asked if I wanted to start Nabora normally or in compatibility mode. The problem is that my keyboard is Bluetooth and it doesn't connect in the boot menu. I tried using a wired keyboard that came with my laptop, but unfortunately, many of the keys (Enter, Y, T, and G) don't work either. I'm at a loss! Is there a way to make my Bluetooth keyboard work in the boot menu or any other alternative I've not considered? Also, I've heard about this cool translucent window feature in Nabora—how do I get that?

If you're at the default GRUB menu and still struggling, remember that there’s often a timeout before it defaults to the first option. You can also try CTRL+X to boot or even pressing E to edit boot parameters—just don't change anything before hitting CTRL+X afterwards. Also, check your BIOS settings for fastboot; if it's enabled, that might be blocking Bluetooth from initializing properly when starting up.

Laptops usually have a built-in keyboard, right? You might be able to use that instead of the Bluetooth one. But if you’re using a detachable keyboard and it’s acting up, that could be problematic. Maybe check out if your laptop's internal keyboard works?

Yeah, I used the detachable keyboard, but the Enter key is broken! I've been surviving using touch for a while now.

If the built-in keyboard isn't an option, have you tried using other keys like Tab or the arrow keys to navigate? You could also find a cheap wired USB keyboard online; they're usually super affordable, even around $5.

I tried the arrow keys, but they didn't work except for scrolling. I haven't tested Tab yet, but I will. I just started saving for a new mic, so spending on a keyboard I might only use once isn't feasible right now.
