Help! Can’t Install Adobe Reader on a New PC

I just set up a brand new PC for an employee and I'm trying to install Adobe Reader. However, I keep getting an error that says "Newer version already installed." This is strange because it's a fresh setup and there haven't been any Adobe products on it before. I even ran the Adobe cleanup tool and CCleaner, but nothing worked. Has anyone else faced this issue on a new system?

You might want to try running MyUninstaller from NirSoft. Sometimes remnants of previous installations can hide in the registry, and this tool can help you dig them out.

Just a heads up, while most browsers can open PDFs, some features like digital signatures might need Adobe Reader specifically. So, if you need those features, don't skip the reader installation!

Yeah, I totally agree! It’s not just about opening PDFs; certain tasks require Adobe Reader's functionality. Best to get it installed instead of relying solely on the browser.
