I've been struggling with this for about a week now and I'm hoping someone can help me out. My PC was running perfectly for years, but one day I woke up to find it stuck in BIOS. I can't locate my operating system on the SSD, which is the only storage drive I have, so it's not a typical issue with multiple disks conflicting. I've tried toggling CSM on and off and currently have it set to UEFI mode. The SSD shows up correctly in the storage information. I've messed around with both GPT and MBR configurations, and have attempted to clean, delete, and create new partitions. The weird part is that I can only create partitions of around 10,000 MB; anything larger ends up being just a 100 MB partition. I used Rufus to create the Windows installation media, and while I'm able to access and backup my data, I can't seem to complete the installation. Both Windows 11 and 10 get stuck at the "where do you want to install Windows" step. These components are all relatively new, and I didn't have any issues during the initial setup. I even updated the BIOS to the latest version. For reference, my setup includes a B550I motherboard, a Samsung SSD 970 Evo Plus 1TB, and an AMD Ryzen 5 5600G.

It sounds like your SSD might be having some issues. It’s strange that you can back up your data but still can’t install Windows. Have you tried running any drive diagnostics using a recovery USB? That could help pinpoint if the drive is malfunctioning or if something else is going on.
I actually thought your drive might be dead at first too. But since it shows up in BIOS and you can access your files, it's more likely a software issue. Have you checked if there are any firmware updates for your SSD? Sometimes those can resolve weird partitioning problems.
