I'm building a new PC and I'm torn between the RX 9070 XT and the RTX 5070 Ti. Both cards are priced similarly where I live, and the available AIB options are the GIGABYTE AMD RX 9070 XT GAMING OC 16G and the ZOTAC GeForce RTX 5070 Ti AMP Extreme INFINITY. I'm considering if it's worth getting other AIB models from overseas. Any thoughts?

Honestly, both cards are solid. It depends on what features you want. The Nvidia card offers DLSS and has more display ports, while the RX 9070 XT gives you slightly better raw performance but less effective upscaling with FSR4. Just pick what fits your needs the best!
I have the RX 9070 XT OC from Gigabyte, and while it's powerful, it's pretty loud. If the prices are close, I would choose the RTX 5070 Ti over it. The 5070 Ti is usually a bit quieter and better for gaming in my experience.
I've had a bad experience with Gigabyte cards due to their thermal paste issues, so I'd avoid the 9070 XT. The performance difference between the two isn't huge, so if you're okay with a slightly higher price for a possibly better card, I'd lean towards the 5070 Ti.
If aesthetics aren't a big deal for you, I'd usually recommend just going for the cheaper option. But if you're looking for quality, I'd advise against Gigabyte since they had some manufacturing problems. For the price, I'd also go with an Nvidia card; it's usually worth the investment.
I faced the same dilemma recently—almost went for the 5070 but ended up with the 9070 XT, and I'm really happy with it. It runs games at maximum settings without any issues. Just keep in mind that both companies have their flaws, but I prefer AMD over Nvidia at this point.
