Hey folks, I'm having a persistent issue with my RX 7900 GRE, and I'm hoping to get some insights. The main problem is that my screen goes black at random times, both when gaming and when I'm just idling. Despite the computer staying on (the fans and RGB lights still work), when I reboot, it always starts up in a low resolution like 640x480. AMD Software doesn't recognize my GPU until I reinstall the drivers. There are no BSODs, just a hard video crash. I also noticed that some GPU metrics drop to zero on HWiNFO when this issue arises.
In addition to that, I've seen critical error codes in the Event Viewer. There's an Event ID 1035 that says "Failed to release hardware access during uninitialization," which might indicate driver corruption, and there's also Event ID 219 related to a missing driver file.
Here's what I've done so far: I've performed multiple DDU clean installs of the drivers, disabled Windows driver updates, updated my BIOS and chipset drivers, tested my RAM's stability with MemTest86, and run `sfc /scannow` and `DISM`, which fixed some issues but didn't resolve the main problem. I've even restored my Windows image.
For context, here's my system: Sapphire Nitro+ RX 7900 GRE, Ryzen 7 5700X3D, ASUS TUF B550M motherboard (with the latest BIOS), 32GB DDR4 @ 3000MHz RAM, Cooler Master MWE 750W Bronze PSU, and Windows 11 Pro 23H2.
My specific questions are: 1) Could this be a driver issue, or is it more likely a hardware failure? 2) Has anyone experienced similar errors, particularly the Event 1035 and WUDFRd ones? 3) Any tips on how to fix this? At this point, I'm just running my GPU at 80% and hoping for the best!

Have you made sure you're using separate PCIe cables to power your GPU? Sometimes power supply issues can cause these kinds of problems. Also, if you haven't tried it yet, underclocking your GPU can help alleviate some stress. If you're using any custom cable extensions, you might want to remove those as well. Just a thought!
Yeah, I’m using two different 6+2 cables, and I don’t have any custom cables. This issue just popped up out of nowhere, and I've seen that others with AMD cards are facing similar problems. I even tried messing with the BIOS on the card because it has that option.
And just to clarify, I got this setup last November, and until now, I've only dealt with some minor motherboard voltage hiccups.
