I recently tried to install Kdenlive using the .deb file on my Ubuntu 22.04 system through the package manager. I canceled the installation early, around 2 to 3%, but it now shows as "installed." I've tried removing it through the software store, as well as using the commands 'apt remove' and 'apt purge,' but I keep getting a message saying there's "nothing to remove." I'm looking for a safe way to resolve this issue because I'm wary of using command-line fixes that I don't fully understand. After upgrading from 20.04 LTS to 22.04 LTS, I'm hesitant to risk damaging my system. Also, I've encountered issues with the Stable snap version of Kdenlive, which suddenly stopped launching, so I'm currently using the AppImage instead.

Installing Kdenlive can indeed be a bit tricky! I've tried out various methods like AppImage, Flatpak, and direct installs on different distros. It's really hit or miss. Just hang in there!
When encountering installation issues, always provide details like your distro version and any error messages. It helps others assist you better! But I understand your caution; messing with commands can be scary without the right context.
Just a tip, if you want to clear your apt cache, check out this guide: itsfoss.com/clear-apt-cache. It might help in refreshing the package manager so it recognizes the state of your installations better.
I tried that but still see Kdenlive in the Store. It's really stuck!

Yeah, that stable Snap version was working like a charm for me, then it just stopped out of nowhere. Super frustrating!
