Hey everyone! I've recently gotten lucky and scored both a 5080 and a 9070XT at decent prices. I've heard mixed opinions about the 5080, with some claiming it has a lot of stability issues compared to the 9070XT. One person even mentioned that the 9070XT can match the 5080's performance. Since most of my friends have AMD GPUs, I'm wondering if their opinions are biased. I've done my research and it seems like the 5080 is generally considered to perform better, but I've also heard concerns about it being prone to overheating. What's the real deal here? Should I stick with the 5080 or go for the 9070XT?

From what I've seen, the 5080 is definitely the better choice, especially if you got it close to MSRP. The 9070XT can be appealing due to its price, but it really doesn't stack up performance-wise. I’d say it’s more comparable to the 5070/5070Ti. Plus, the 9070XT has had stability issues; I've heard reports of it crashing, especially with multiple monitors. If you’re not concerned about saving a bit of cash, I’d stick with the 5080!
Totally agree! The 5080 is known for being a powerhouse and less susceptible to crashes. I would keep it if I were you.
