Hey everyone! I've been playing around with Linux for a few months now, switching between distros like Ubuntu, Mint, Debian, and Fedora—basically a lot of distro hopping. My longest stint was 3 months on Arch, but I've shifted back to Windows 11 recently due to work commitments. However, I'm really missing the Linux experience and have just got myself an AMD GPU, so I'm looking to switch back to Linux for my main system. I do programming as a hobby and would classify myself as somewhere between novice and intermediate in terms of Linux skills. I was considering going with Fedora again, but I'd love to hear your thoughts on it, or if there's something new I should consider!

If you're keen on gaming, check out Project Nobara (Fedora-based), CachyOS (Arch-based), or EndeavorOS. They're great options for gaming. For work, especially video editing, I recommend Rocky Linux 10—it's stable and has a lot of support. Fedora is a solid choice, but exploring these alternatives could be fun! 👍
Honestly, I’ve stuck with Mint for over two years now. It’s been reliable with plenty of support to fix any hiccups along the way. If it works for you, why change?
If you want a real change, consider openSUSE! It's not as mainstream, but it's solid. You can choose between Leap for stability or Tumbleweed for rolling updates. Either way, you can't go wrong!
Have you ever thought about sticking with a distro you already know but hopping around different desktop environments? For example, you could try out Cosmic or Budgie on Fedora or LXQT on Debian. It can be a whole new experience without needing to switch the whole system!
MX Linux has been my go-to. I recommend picking a couple of distros and settling on the one that aligns best with your needs. But hey, if you like Fedora, stick with it—it's a terrific option!

How did you like Arch? It's a fantastic distro for building your own setup, but I totally get that it can be time-consuming and overwhelming to maintain. If you're short on time, it might be wise to go for something pre-packaged like Fedora instead!
I loved the freedom Arch provided, but yeah, managing it took too much time for me right now.
If you're comfortable with Arch, why not try an Arch-based distro like CachyOS or EndeavorOS? They give you the best of both worlds—familiarity and ease of use!

I've been testing out Debian lately, but I always seem to return to Linux Mint. It's super user-friendly and just easy to customize. Mint with XFCE might just be what you're looking for!
