I've been out of the PC gaming scene for about 15 years, thanks to kids and work. Now, I'm ready to get back into it and want to build a solid rig that I can upgrade over time as a hobby. I mainly play RTS games like the Total War series and Cities Skylines, and I'm aiming to keep my budget under $1,500. I'd love some critiques and suggestions on my planned setup! Here's the component list:
**CPU:** AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D - $479.00
**Motherboard:** ASUS B650E MAX GAMING WIFI - $149.99
**Memory:** CORSAIR Vengeance RGB 32GB DDR5 - $182.99
**Graphics Card:** ASRock Steel Legend Radeon RX 9060 XT 8GB - $289.99
**Case:** DIYPC ARGB-N6-W Gaming Case - $69.97
**Power Supply:** Thermaltake Toughpower GT 750W - $99.99
**Storage:** WD BLACK SN7100, 2TB SSD - $139.99
**Total:** $1,350.92

The Ryzen 7 9800X3D is kind of overkill for your budget, not to mention the RX 9060 XT is a bit weak—go for the 16GB version if you can. I suggest switching to a Ryzen 7 7800X3D and an RX 5070 if your budget allows. Also, consider faster memory like 6000 cl30/36 instead of 6400mt/s since that’s more suited for Intel.

This is the kind of stuff I don’t know anymore because I’ve been out of it for so long. Thanks!
