I've finally decided to take the plunge and build my first gaming PC! My budget is around $3,000 and I've got storage and peripherals all set. Here's what I've picked out so far:
- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 4.7 GHz 8-Core Processor - $469.00
- **CPU Cooler**: Lian Li Galahad II LCD 79.9 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler - $234.90
- **Motherboard**: Asus ROG STRIX B850-E GAMING WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard - $325.00
- **Memory**: Corsair Dominator Titanium 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory - $185.99
- **Video Card**: MSI SUPRIM SOC GeForce RTX 5080 16 GB Video Card - $1409.99
- **Case**: Lian Li O11 VISION COMPACT ATX Mid Tower Case - $124.99
- **Power Supply**: Lian Li EDGE 1000 W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply - $169.99
**Total**: $2919.86
I'm aware that some of these parts might not offer the best value, but I'm also prioritizing aesthetics. I'm mainly unsure about the RAM, motherboard, and CPU cooler. I'm also planning to buy about 8 Lian Li SL-INF case fans, but I'm still deciding on those too. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Honestly, that RAM is way overpriced. You could find similar kits for about $100 less, and still get a flashy RGB look. As for the motherboard, I think you can get a solid one for around $200, which would save you some cash. The cooler you picked looks cool but is also pricey. Lian Li makes great stuff but check if the fans go with your cooler setup—there are a bunch of different systems that aren't compatible with each other!
Yea, I figured the RAM and motherboard were overpriced. For the RAM, I just thought it looked nice. Any suggestions for a more affordable RAM and motherboard?
