I recently moved into a new apartment and had to replace my damaged motherboard. I paid a hefty $550 for the repair, which included a refurbished motherboard, a new cooler, and a diagnosis fee. However, after just a week of using it, my PC has started to randomly crash while I'm gaming. Sometimes the game freezes and crashes, other times it disconnects all my USB devices, or it even restarts the whole system without me doing anything.
For reference, my specs are: 3060 Ti GPU, 9800x3D CPU, and 32GB DDR5-6000 RAM.
I suspect a few possible problems: 1) there might be an issue with the cleared boot drive; 2) the RAM or motherboard could be faulty; or 3) the new CPU cooler might not be doing its job since my 9800x3D often idles at 65C-70C while I've seen others maintaining around 40C. The repair shop recommended a $55 cooler after my old Noctua ones wouldn't fit the new case.
I'm really frustrated to still be running into issues after spending so much. I've noticed my CPU can hit 85C-90C just by having a few Chrome tabs and Silksong open, and I've even seen temps reach 95C. Any insights?

I’d suggest looking into the cooler's mounting. If it’s not set up correctly, you’re going to have major heating issues. Also, try resetting the BIOS to the default settings and disabling XMP for now to rule out any configuration problems.
By the way, is this how the cooler is mounted? [pic](https://imgur.com/a/g1iimYZ)
It sounds like the repair might have been botched. Those temps are seriously high, so overheating is definitely a concern. It could be a bad mounting job on that cooler or not enough thermal paste. You might want to check the Windows Event Viewer as well to see if any specific errors pop up when your system crashes.

Yeah, I posted that pic, but I'm not sure if it's mounted right or if there's something wrong with the cooler itself.
