I have a Windows computer that's only about 4 months old, and I've started having problems recently. Yesterday, my computer restarted, and now I can't open Minecraft without downloading this odd software called the "Open CL, OpenGL, and Vulkan Compatibility Pack." Honestly, it seems kind of sketchy to me. When I do manage to get Minecraft open, the graphics are all messed up with the moon phases texture overlapping the sun. On top of that, my CPU usage spikes to 100% when I run the game. I've tried uninstalling both the game and that weird software, and my computer has restarted on its own several times, especially when the battery gets low. I'm not sure if this is a Minecraft issue or something more serious. Can anyone help?

You might also want to check your task manager while running Minecraft to see if any background processes are eating up CPU resources. Sometimes, other applications can conflict with games and use up your CPU. If nothing seems to help, consider reinstalling your graphics drivers. They can sometimes get corrupted and cause issues.
First off, that compatibility pack is safe enough to use, but it’s usually only for certain systems, like ARM. If you're not on ARM, you might not need it. Have you checked your graphics card drivers? Sometimes out-of-date drivers can cause graphical glitches and high CPU usage. Just make sure everything's up-to-date and try launching Minecraft again. Also, try lowering the graphics settings in Minecraft; that could help with CPU usage too.
