Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a mess and could really use some advice. My boss asked me to send out about 100 messages to trainees asking them to confirm their attendance at training. I was just copying and pasting the same message repeatedly, but that seems to have triggered some sort of flag, possibly leading to me being logged out of my account. Now, when I try to log back in, I get an error message saying my attempt was unsuccessful due to an unknown error. I tried resetting my password, but I'm told my account is locked. I went through the request process to regain access and got an email saying access was granted, but then another email followed saying it was denied again! I called Apple support, and unfortunately, the representative said there's no appeals process and that I'd have to create a new account. Is that true? I really need help because I haven't backed up any important images in years, and losing them would be devastating.

Be careful! Getting reported for spam can lead to a permanent ban. Your boss should ideally have a business account for these kinds of messages. Try calling Apple again, or even visiting a store; sometimes speaking in person helps more than on the phone.
Honestly, it sounds like your boss might need to rethink their communication methods! Using your personal iCloud for work-related messages isn’t the best idea. Most companies have internal tools like Teams or Slack for this purpose. I’d recommend talking to your boss about it!
I totally agree, it’s an outdated approach for sure and they should know better.
It's crazy to think they didn't use any sort of automated system! Just shows how out of touch some managers can be.
You might want to check with Apple one more time. But from what I know, using iMessage for bulk messages isn’t advisable. They might not be able to help, unfortunately.
I hear you, but I never thought it would backfire like this!
This job is temporary anyway, so I’m not sure if it's worth it. Think going into the store will actually help?
