I recently returned from a long holiday and discovered an email stating that my Amazon Web Services account, linked to my developer ID, has been permanently closed and cannot be reopened. The email mentioned that any content in the account is now inaccessible and will be erased. I didn't receive any prior notifications about this closure, and I'm confused about what to do next. Is there a way to find out more details about why this happened or if there's anything I can do?

I totally get your confusion! The best bet to get to the bottom of this is to reach out directly to AWS support. You can fill out their contact form at go.aws/account-support and provide them with as much detail as you can about your account. Their team should be able to look into it and give you more information on why it was closed.

Thank you for the tip!
