Help! My Browsers Keep Crashing—What Can I Do?

I'm having a frustrating issue where my default web browser opens when I sign into my account, but it only stays open for about a minute. After that, whenever I try to launch any web browser, it just shuts down immediately before fully loading. I've also noticed that this problem affects the Minecraft launcher. On the plus side, I can still open Steam and play the games I purchased there. I attempted a system restore, but I think I didn't choose an old enough restore point, and now I'm limited to restoring just from yesterday. I tried resetting the PC, but it got most of the way through and then encountered an error. I'm at a loss for what to do next. The last thing I downloaded was about four days ago, and it was the EA app for playing Jedi Survivor.

This issue might be caused by malware. I recommend doing a full clean install of Windows 11. Check out this guide for more info: [clean-install Windows 11](https://rtech.support/windows/). It’ll take some time but could really help resolve the browser crashes!

It sounds like a tricky situation! If you keep getting that error during the PC reset, try to look up what the error message says—often it gives clues on what’s wrong. Also, since you mentioned a download right before the problem started, it could potentially be causing issues. Was that download cracked software? If browsers keep crashing, check the Event Viewer after a crash to see if it shows any memory issues or other problems. If all else fails, back up your data and consider doing a fresh install of Windows using a USB drive. Good luck!

I’m trying the reset again now, but it might take a while. That download was the EA app directly from them to play Jedi Survivor. Honestly, I have no clue how to use the Event Viewer—it looked super complicated.

Ty for the help! I reset a second time, and it finally got everything working.
