Help! My cat disabled my laptop’s touchpad

I have an Acer Aspire 3 laptop and I'm not very tech-savvy. My cat just sat on my keyboard and pressed a bunch of keys. I managed to move him off, but now my touchpad isn't working. I have an online appointment in 5 minutes that I'll have to take on my phone. I tried searching for solutions online but nothing seems to help. Can anyone offer some advice?

If you're still having issues, the touchpad could be disabled from a shortcut on the touchpad itself. Also, you could connect a mouse temporarily, which might reactivate the trackpad when you unplug it. Let me know how it turns out!

Another solution to try is pressing 'Fn + F6' or 'Fn + F7' to see if that gets your touchpad back up and running. Sometimes those keys control the touchpad functionality. Good luck!

If all else fails, just reboot your laptop! It can sometimes reset things that have gone wonky after a feline interference. Just make sure to get that appointment sorted out too!

It sounds like your cat might have toggled off your touchpad. On most Acer laptops, you can check if the touchpad is disabled by pressing the 'F10' key, or try 'Fn + F10'. That usually does the trick! Let me know if that works for you!

I found that holding down 'FN + Shift + F12' for about 8-10 seconds can often solve this kind of issue. Also, be sure to check out some resources online like 'bitboost.com/pawsense' for more tips on handling cat-related laptop troubles!
