I'm new to this forum and need some assistance. My computer connects to WiFi networks but can't access the internet. It can see the router, but it won't go online. I've tried multiple connections, including my home WiFi, my phone's hotspot, my wife's hotspot, an Ethernet cable, and a wireless adapter, but nothing seems to work. I've also attempted various commands in Command Prompt, including releasing and renewing the IP, as well as running flushdns, but no luck. When I ran a tracert to 8.8.8.8, it resulted in a 'general failure' after 30 hops. I'm still learning about IT and could really use some help!

Try running 'ipconfig /all' after connecting to the WiFi. This should give you detailed information about your network settings and could help pinpoint what's wrong. If you could share that output, it might provide some insights!
How many hops did the tracert get through before it failed? Since you're having issues with both Wi-Fi and a LAN cable, the problem could be with your router or its configuration. Have you thought about restarting your router? That can sometimes solve connectivity issues!
One thing I suggest is to try a Network reset on your device. This usually resets all settings related to the network adapter back to their default state, which might help resolve the issue. It typically takes a few minutes to complete after you start it up. Give it a shot and see if it makes a difference!
