Help! My Dad’s PC Won’t Start After a Windows 10 Update

Last night, my dad's computer wouldn't turn on after a Windows 10 update. The system specs are a Z390 Asrock Pro4 motherboard, an Intel i3 9100f processor, 16GB of 3000MHz DDR4 RAM, an 850W EVGA platinum power supply, and a Zotac 3060 Ti GPU with a 1TB HDD. I've checked the power supply, and it works fine with my own computer. However, his system just shows no signs of life—no signals to the monitor, no fan activity, and no lights indicating the power is on. I'm not very tech-savvy and could really use some guidance. Plus, I ordered some upgrades for the PC, but they haven't arrived yet, and we need it up and running soon!

Make sure the monitor is plugged into the GPU instead of the onboard graphics. If nothing else works, you can try using jumper 1 to clear the CMOS. Let me know what you discover after trying these steps!

I’m on it, though it’ll take me a bit since I need to pull out the HDD again.

Also, be careful about space—I messed up trying to fit components in a cramped case before!

Have you tried checking if the GPU is seated properly? If there's no display at all, you might want to test it in another machine. It could also be that the motherboard is not posting due to the update; try booting into the BIOS.

I'll swap the GPU with mine and see if that works.

If there's no power at all, check your power button. Sometimes they can get stuck.
