My hard drive has mysteriously vanished, and I can't quite remember how it happened since it was some time ago. It shows up as an 'unknown device' in Device Manager, and I'm really hoping to get it back because it cost a lot and has 2TB of games on it. For now, I'm stuck using my nearly full 400GB disc drive with only about 30GB left. I'm in need of some serious help!

I assume your games are safe if you bought them on platforms like Steam or Xbox. If that's the case, you can always re-download them later on a new drive. Just be more worried about personal files like documents or photos unless you have a backup somewhere, like in the cloud or on another external drive.
Have you checked the cables and made sure everything is connected properly? Also, try looking in Disk Management to see if the hard drive is recognized there. Does the drive make any weird sounds? Knowing the brand and model of the drive could help too. If nothing works, it might be time to consider getting a new drive and restoring from a backup.
Thanks for the tips! My older cousin looked at it before, but I'll ask him to check it again.
Here’s a pic of what he sent me for reference: https://preview.redd.it/otu5124ngkjf1.jpeg?width=486&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=179965b147b66f593bbe58dc5cbbc748c3956ca6.

Yeah, I’m relieved that the games are safe on Steam and Xbox, but I still want to recover the hard drive.
