Help! My iPhone Seems Compromised—the Audio Won’t Stop!

I think my iPhone might have been hacked because I'm hearing background audio during videos and phone calls—even when I lock my phone or turn it off! It's really strange; I even hear this noise through other devices around me. It seems like someone might be controlling my phone remotely since they can see my screen. I've contacted AT&T, but they just directed me to file an FCC report and said they can't help with cyber hacking. The police said they can't do anything either. I've wiped my phone at the Apple store and installed malware protection, but I still have these issues. I'm really looking for advice on what I can do to stop this. Please help!

It sounds like you might not be hacked in the traditional sense. What you're experiencing could be related to audio routing or AirPlay issues. Here are some quick things to try:
1. Turn off Background Sounds by going to Settings > Accessibility > Audio/Visual > Background Sounds.
2. Disable AirPlay by going to Settings > General > AirPlay & Handoff and set 'Automatically AirPlay' to Never.
3. Keep an eye on the orange microphone dot on your screen; if it lights up, check which app is using it.
4. Look for any suspicious profiles under Settings > General > VPN & Device Management.
5. Change your Apple ID password from a different device and enable two-factor authentication.
6. Factory reset your phone and set it up as a new device without restoring from backup to see if the problem persists.
7. If you're still concerned, consider updating your iOS and activating Lockdown Mode.

Thanks for the tips! The audio does sound kind of staticky, like a radio frequency, so it could be AirPlay causing this. I'll check the settings you mentioned!
