Hey everyone, I've been having a bit of trouble with my laptop lately. It started making a weird noise from one of the fans after running for a bit, and it only happens after a few seconds of spinning. At first, it would shut off after about 10 seconds, but now it's down to just 1 second.
This all started after I left my laptop near a sunny window while it was turned on. When I came back, it was pretty hot, so I cranked the fan speed to maximum to help cool it down.
Aside from this noise, the laptop seems to work just fine. I dual boot my laptop and tried using Linux to see if the issue persisted. Initially, it didn't happen there, but eventually, the noise started up in Linux too. This makes me think it's more of a hardware issue rather than something related to software. I haven't tried much else because I'm not sure what to do.
Is there any way to fix this, or should I just go ahead and replace the fan? Oh, and I've attached a video of the sound here: https://youtube.com/shorts/PwcubOiE2ek?si=k6KE0nbOckC7iquZ. By the way, here's some info about my laptop model: https://mysupport.razer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/9696/~razer-blade-15%E2%80%9D-%282023%29-%7C-rz09-0485x-support-%26-faqs.

It sounds like your fan's bearing might be busted. Unfortunately, there’s usually no permanent fix for that kind of damage, so your best bet is to replace the fan altogether.
Totally agree with FixItFaster99. The noise you're hearing is often a sign of a failing fan. It's good that your laptop still runs fine otherwise, but I’d recommend looking into a replacement fan soon.
