I've got an Acer Aspire 7 laptop that's about three years old. I usually use it for programming, video and photo editing, and gaming. Last night, I was playing Genshin Impact while it was plugged in— I've always done this without any issues. However, around midnight, I turned it off and unplugged it to let it rest since I had schoolwork to do at 1 AM. I ended up forgetting to turn it off properly and left it in sleep mode without the charger until this morning at 9 AM. Now it's 7 PM, and I've noticed my laptop isn't charging at all. It's currently at 0%, but it stays on while plugged in. As soon as I unplug it, it dies immediately. I'm in desperate need of help as I need it working in two days! What should I do?

You can check your battery health using Windows. Just open the command prompt as an admin and type: `powercfg /batteryreport /output "C:battery-report.html"`. This will generate a report that shows how many times the battery was charged and its current capacity. You might see what's going on with your battery there!
It sounds like your battery might be dead. If that’s the case, it’s a good idea to take it to a reliable computer repair shop and have the battery replaced. Sorry to say it, but that’s usually the best fix for this situation!

I opened the report, but I can't find the current capacity info you mentioned. Where exactly should I look?
