Struggling to Install My AIO Cooler – Help Needed!

I'm building my first PC and I'm stuck trying to install my Thermalright Frozen Edge 69 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler on my MSI PRO B850M-A WIFI motherboard with an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D CPU. I've attached the AMD brackets in the correct orientation and followed the manual.

The issue I'm facing is that while one of the spring-loaded screws catches into the bracket easily, the second screw doesn't seem to reach the bracket hole at all. It might be too short or the spring might be too stiff. I've tried pressing down firmly on the pump head and alternating the screws, but nothing seems to work. I'm worried I might be using the wrong standoffs or not applying enough pressure, but it feels like I'm pushing down as hard as I can! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated because right now my half-built PC is sitting under a towel to avoid dust!

It sounds like the first screw might be over-tightened. You only need to secure it lightly, just enough to hold it in place. Also, make sure you're applying enough downward pressure on the pump head; that can sometimes be tricky! And why the towel? Just keep it safe from dust!

I covered it because I didn't want dust getting in! I tried lightly screwing the one that fits before alternating, but it still doesn't reach.
