I just found my old Lenovo laptop from high school. It's one of those convertible models with a touchscreen and stylus that can function as both a laptop and a tablet. I've been trying to clear all the school software off it, but it's been a struggle. Just to clarify, I paid off the laptop and I've confirmed with the school that they don't want it back since they marked it as lost or damaged.
Recently, I attempted to reset it, but now it's stuck on a dark blue screen that says "password." I've attached a photo in another forum. I think this might be a security lock set by the school. Is there any way to bypass this screen or recover the password? Also, the laptop started making beeping noises, so I shut it down.

If you see the same password screen in the BIOS, that indicates it's a supervisor lock. You may need to contact the school because they are the only ones who can unlock it. Sorry, but no one here can help you bypass it legally or otherwise!
You might want to try getting dump files if you manage to boot into Windows, either normally or in Safe Mode. Check the C:WindowsMinidump directory for any crash logs. If you find some, zip the folder and upload it to a file-sharing site like Mediafire or Catbox. Having the dump files can help diagnose the issue further!

I'm going to try a few different approaches first before reaching out. Fingers crossed it's not a dead end!
