I accidentally shared my Microsoft account's single-use code with someone untrustworthy, and now they have taken over my account. They changed the email and password, and even set up two-factor authentication using their authenticator app. I've tried going through Microsoft's account recovery process, but since they enabled 2FA, Microsoft won't consider my recovery request. Is there any alternative way to regain access? I have purchase history and proof of ownership for my account.

From what I've seen, the recovery form is really the only option for regaining access. Just make sure to provide as much detail as you can about your account. It'll help with your case.
I tried the form too, but Microsoft told me they'd ignore my request since the 2FA is still active on the account. Is there really no other way? This is so frustrating!
