I recently purchased a prebuilt PC from Micro Center and while I was setting it up, I decided to check the BIOS settings. I accidentally reset the BIOS to default settings without saving my previous configuration (which was fine by the way). Now, when I try to boot it up, I just see a black screen with a white dash at the top. I've tried turning everything off and rebooting, but I keep getting the same screen. I also disconnected the display port and switched to HDMI, but nothing changed. Even attempting to access the BIOS again hasn't worked. Has anyone else faced this issue or have any suggestions on how to fix it?

It sounds like a BIOS reset hiccup! First, try resetting the BIOS again just to be safe. After that, boot up your PC and let it sit at that black screen for a while; it might be initializing the RAM or setting up the hardware for the first time. If you share your motherboard model and other specs, that could help narrow it down too!
Got it, thanks for the tip! I’ll leave it on the black screen for 30 minutes and see if anything changes.
