I was updating the BIOS on my ASUS B350-F Gaming motherboard when a brief power outage occurred—just for a second. Now, when I turn my PC on, it says, 'BIOS recovery mode has been detected. Please put the file RSB350FG.CAP into HDD or a removable USB media device, and then reset your computer. Once you have done this, please wait for a moment and don't shutdown system!!! The system will automatically reboot.' I've prepared a 32GB USB drive formatted to FAT32 with the BIOS CAP file. I renamed the file using the application provided with the BIOS download and plugged the USB directly into one of the USB 2.0 ports on the back of my PC. However, it just sits on the recovery screen and doesn't do anything. What should I do?

Just to clarify, you mentioned using the rename application. Did it rename the file to exactly 'RSB350FG.CAP'? That's what the recovery mode message says it needs, so if it renamed it differently, that could be the issue.
Have you tried using a different USB drive? Sometimes compatibility issues arise with certain drives. Also, ensure that the USB drive is formatted to FAT—FAT32 isn’t the same thing, so you might want to reformat it just to be safe.
I've already tried all the USB ports and formatted it to FAT32, so I'm not sure if using a different format would help.

I renamed it exactly as the screen instructed to 'RSB350FG.CAP'. Since it was already a .CAP file, I thought the extension was fine. The application did rename it to just 'RSB350FG'.
