Help! My New Laptop Keeps Crashing with BSODs

I've been having constant blue screen errors on my ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 laptop since I added a new 16GB RAM stick, bringing the total to what I thought should be 40GB from the original 16GB. The stop code I'm getting is 'Critical_process_died', and my laptop tends to overheat easily. It's running Windows 11 and has an NVIDIA 3060 GPU. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this issue? I also have a minidump file that I can share for analysis.

First off, make sure you check the RAM configuration! It seems like you might have mixed up the capacities. If you add an 8GB and a 16GB stick, you should have 24GB total, not 40. Regarding the BSOD, it might be worth looking into your minidump files for more clues. If you can boot into Windows (or Safe Mode), try finding those files in C:WindowsMinidump and upload them for further analysis. That will really help pinpoint the problem.

Yeah, overheating could definitely contribute to BSODs. Make sure your laptop's vents aren't blocked and consider using a cooling pad. Also, if it was just a RAM installation issue, ensure that the new stick is seated properly. If you need to see the dump files, you could try using a service like MediaFire or Catbox to share them. It really helps to diagnose these issues.

You should double-check the type of RAM you’re using as well. If it's DDR4 and from Corsair, that’s good, but you must ensure it’s compatible with your laptop. Sometimes BIOS also needs an update after a significant hardware change. Also, watch out for any firmware updates that your system might need to stabilize it.
