Help! My PC is Stuck After Trying to Enable Secure Boot for Battlefield 6

I really need some urgent help here. I tried to enable secure boot for Battlefield 6, and now my PC, which I saved up for two years, won't start. I can't reset it or figure out what to do. It's critical for my work as I handle emails and important accounts on it. I'm at a loss and don't know if I should take it to a store or if there's a way to fix this myself. Any advice?

It’s possible you accidentally changed more settings than just secure boot. If you can access the BIOS, look for an option to restore defaults and save that. If you can't get into the BIOS at all, try unplugging the PC, turning off the power supply, and removing the motherboard battery for about 10 minutes. Press the power button a few times while it’s unplugged to clear any residual power. After that, plug everything back in and start it up. It should return the BIOS to defaults. Just keep in mind, it’s wild that a game is forcing you to mess with BIOS settings like this!

Also, just as a heads-up, if your motherboard has a clear CMOS switch on the back or near the battery, you might be able to reset the BIOS without taking the battery out. And seriously, you probably shouldn’t have messed with the BIOS just to play Battlefield 6. This whole situation just goes to show how some game devs need to rethink how they handle secure boot and anti-cheat.

You might want to try to undo any BIOS changes you made. If the PC still won't boot, a Windows installer can help you run a startup repair. Be cautious, though, because a lot of folks are running into issues trying to play this game without understanding how the BIOS works. Your data should still be intact unless it’s encrypted with BitLocker, in which case you’d need your recovery key.
