Help! My PC Keeps Black Screening While Gaming

I've been struggling with a frustrating problem on my self-built PC. Here are my specs: Ryzen 5 7600x, RX 7600 XT, MSI B650M Gaming Plus WiFi, Corsair Vengeance DDR5 32GB. I originally had a CX650 bronze PSU, but I upgraded to an RM750x Gold this week, hoping it would resolve the issue.

The main problem is that my PC black screens during gaming, but it doesn't fully shut down; the RGB fans stay lit, and it seems to reboot back to the Windows login screen. I initially thought it was a power issue, and replacing the PSU helped for a short time, but the problem keeps coming back.

I've turned off all overclocking for both the CPU and GPU in the BIOS, and my RAM is still running at 6000MHz with Expo settings disabled. I even switched my power management to balanced, hoping it would help, but no luck. I'm feeling pretty discouraged since this is ruining my gaming experience, and I could really use some help!

Just a thought, does your PC reboot when it black screens? If so, that definitely points towards a reboot rather than a complete crash. This could be due to overheating or even memory issues. Have you checked your temperatures or tried running a memory diagnostic? It might lead you to the source of the problem.

Yes, it doesn’t fully shut down; it just comes back on its own. I'm pretty sure it's not overheating since I've checked the temps, but I'll definitely consider running a memory diagnostic.

Sounds like you're in the classic hardware vs. software debate. If the screen goes black but the PC doesn't fully shut down, it could be a great idea to rule out software issues. Have you considered reinstalling Windows? That would give a clean slate and help you determine if there's a software problem at play. Just remember to create a restore point before adding any drivers back in!
