Help! My PC Keeps Freezing and Dying During Games – No Errors!

I'm facing a really frustrating issue with my PC that seems to only happen while gaming. It randomly goes black screen and becomes completely unresponsive during graphically demanding games like Diablo IV and Helldivers 2. No BSOD or any error messages appear, and I have to manually restart the system to recover. In the Event Viewer, I only see Kernel-Power 41 errors which indicate unexpected shutdowns. I've had this problem for several months now, and despite formatting my system and reinstalling Windows, it keeps coming back.

Here are my specs:
- Ryzen 7 5800X3D
- RTX 3080 10 GB
- Asus TUF X570 MOBO
- 32 GB DDR4 RAM
- Seasonic 750W Gold semi-modular PSU (over 5 years old)
- Dual 1440p monitors
- Forza FX-2200LCD UPS

I've done several troubleshooting steps, including a clean GPU driver reinstall and storage integrity tests, but the issue persists. Sometimes it runs fine for hours, and other times it crashes within 20-30 minutes. I'm looking for any insights or suggestions that could help me solve this once and for all.

Have you tried resetting the CMOS on your motherboard? I had a similar problem once, and after many failed attempts to fix it, I decided to reset the CMOS on a whim. It surprisingly did the trick for me! Give it a shot; it might help!

It's definitely worth a try! I'll give that a go.

I had the same black screen issue with audio still playing. It turned out that boosting the GPU fan speed to around 90% helped me. It might have cooled things down a bit, which indirectly solved the problem. Just in case it’s temperature-related, it could be worth a try!

Since you haven’t encountered any BSODs, gathering dump files could be crucial. If you can get into Windows, check the C:WindowsMinidump directory for any dump files. Zipping and sharing those can help diagnose the issue further. Make sure to follow a guide on how to adjust your dump settings if needed!

Try booting into Safe Mode and uninstalling your GPU driver completely. Then reboot normally and reinstall the driver. This process fixed a similar issue for me!
