I've had my PC for about two weeks now, and I'm considering whether I should take off a plastic seal that's covering one of the fans. This isn't on the CPU cooler but is positioned near the motherboard. I've attached a picture in the replies to give you a better idea of what I'm talking about. Should I go ahead and remove it?

You can definitely remove that seal without any worries. It's not going to affect anything negatively. Just be careful not to damage the fan during the process.
It's fine to leave the seal on or take it off—totally your call. Most people find it negligible either way.
That seal doesn't really impact your fan's performance. If it's just a cover, you can get rid of it. Just make sure it’s securely attached to avoid any issues later!
