Hey everyone! My sister has a PC that she and her friends built about a year ago, but she ran into a problem yesterday when she turned it on: her monitor displays 'no signal' through the DisplayPort. We've tried several troubleshooting steps:
- Restarted the PC and unplugged it from power.
- Switched the DisplayPort to different ports.
- Used an HDMI connection instead.
- Performed a reset on the monitor.
- Checked all the ports for any dust build-up.
- Finally, we connected her monitor to my PC, and it worked perfectly.
Since the monitor works fine with my PC, we suspect there's an issue with her system. Does anyone have ideas on what might be causing this and how we can fix it?

Make sure you're plugging into the correct port! Depending on your setup, you might need to connect to the DisplayPort on the graphics card rather than the motherboard. That can often cause this issue.
Does the PC beep when starting up? Often, certain motherboards have indicators like lights or beeps for boot errors. It might be a grounding issue, RAM compatibility, or even a faulty RAM stick. There could be so many reasons for this failure.
That's a good point! It has been running fine for a year, just started now. I forgot to mention it doesn’t beep at startup.
You might want to Double check if it never beeped at startup; that could be a clue!
Could you share the parts list of your sister's PC? It might help in diagnosing the issue better.
Here's what I know: GiBy B550 GAMING X V2, GiBy 12GB D6 RTX 3060 Gaming OC 12G V2, D416GB 3200-16 Veng. RGB PRO bk K2 COR, Shark Silent Storm Cool Zero 750 W, and an SSD 1TB.
Right! Just check how the ports are arranged. You might have two HDMI and two DisplayPorts in a row.
