I'm new to building PCs and recently got a second-hand rig that was supposed to handle games like Team Fortress. Today, while I was playing, my screen went dark with a message saying 'display entering sleep mode.' I got frustrated and restarted the PC, but now the display keeps showing the same message. Initially, I noticed the power lights came on, and my RGB keyboard lights up when I plug it in, but the fans don't start spinning anymore. What should I do to troubleshoot this issue, especially since I'm pretty inexperienced with PC building?

Before diving too deep, check the output voltages on your power supply. Sometimes a failing power supply can cause these boot issues.
Try disconnecting the hard drives temporarily while you figure this out. Also, swapping the video cable could help if that’s the issue; however, if the fans aren't spinning, it might point to a bigger power issue.
I’d recommend starting by unplugging everything and opening up the case. Once you do that, reseat the RAM and the video card — there are plenty of YouTube tutorials on how to do both. Also, check for any dust inside and give it a clean with some compressed air. It might just need a little TLC!
Haha, yeah, dust is a killer! Just follow some videos, it's pretty straightforward to reset the RAM and video card.
There could be multiple issues at play. Without spare parts or specialized tools, it might be tough to diagnose it on your own. Consider taking it to a repair shop where they can help you out more efficiently.
If the fans aren’t spinning, it's probably not just the video cable that's the issue.
