Help! My PC Won’t Boot After Powering Off

I built my PC about four months ago, and everything was working fine until yesterday when it suddenly shut down while I was gaming. Now, it won't turn back on at all—none of the LEDs on the power supply are lighting up. I decided to replace my Thermaltake Toughpower GT 1200W PSU with an ASUS ROG Strix 1200W Platinum to see if that would solve the issue. After reconnecting everything with new cables, the indicator LEDs on the motherboard came on. However, when I pressed the power button, all the fan lights flashed for half a second and then turned off. Pressing the power button again does nothing unless I disconnect the power and reconnect it. The small LEDs on the motherboard stay lit when plugged in. I've also tried disconnecting the CMOS battery and holding the power button with no luck. What should I try next?

It sounds like a frustrating situation. Try removing components one at a time, starting with your RAM sticks, to see if the issue lies there. It could potentially be the RAM, the GPU, or even the motherboard at this point. Just make sure everything is properly seated before trying to power it up again.

That's a solid idea! I actually went through that whole process and ended up checking the CPU too, but still no luck. I'll keep trying other parts.

Yeah, I've been there! Double-check your power connections as well; sometimes it’s a loose cable that causes issues like this.
