Help! My PC Won’t Boot and I Can’t Use USB to Fix It

Hey everyone, I was gaming the other day and my PC suddenly crashed, which doesn't happen often. I shut it down using the power button and when I tried to restart, I got this error saying my boot files are corrupt (0Xc000000f), and it looks like the BCD is missing. The next day, I got a USB drive and had a friend create a Windows 10 installer on it using the Microsoft media creation tool, thinking it would fix the issue. However, when I tried to boot from it, it failed again. I messed around with the BIOS settings, toggling things like secure boot, fast boot, and UEFI options, but nothing worked. I even bought another USB drive, had it set up with Windows 10 too, but I'm still stuck at the Asus loading screen. My motherboard recognizes the USB as UEFI, but I can't seem to get past that. Here are my specs: Asus Prime B660M-K D4 motherboard, Intel i5 12400F, RX 6600XT, 16GB of RAM, and a 500GB M.2. Any advice?

It sounds like you've gone through a lot already! To troubleshoot, disconnect all your drives, including the M.2 and SATA drives, and then try booting again from the USB with the BIOS set to match how the USB was created (like UEFI). This can help to rule out whether any internal drives are causing the problem.

Make sure your BIOS is set up correctly for the USB drive. Sometimes, it helps to reset BIOS settings to defaults and then specifically enable UEFI if your USB is created that way. Also, check if the USB drive is properly formatted.
