I'm having a frustrating issue with my PC where it only seems to allow Google Chrome to run. Whenever I try to open other browsers like Opera or Brave, they immediately crash upon launching. It's really annoying because I've been using Opera for a long time. Even after changing my default browser to Brave, it still doesn't work. I'm on Windows 11, so I'm hoping someone has a solution for this problem. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

It sounds like there might be a restriction due to the account settings. Are you logged into a Microsoft account that's set as a child account? Those tend to have content blocking features that could prevent browsers from opening. Just a thought!
You might want to check if the issue occurs with Firefox as well. Since it’s not Chromium-based, it could help determine if the problem is linked to that platform. Also, try looking for error logs in the %LOCALAPPDATA% area in your Opera and Brave folders; that might give some clues.
I tried Firefox, but it only worked for a few seconds before crashing too.
Have you thought about uninstalling and then reinstalling the browsers? Using a tool like Revo Uninstaller could help clear out any leftover files that might be causing issues.
I did try uninstalling, but it didn’t change anything. It’s still crashing when I try to launch them.
Yeah, I am using a child account. I tried resetting the PC, and Opera worked briefly, but then it started crashing again after a reboot.
