Help! My PC Won’t Post After Upgrading to AMD

Hey everyone! I recently upgraded my PC by switching from Intel to AMD. I installed a new Ryzen 7600X3D CPU, an Asus ROG Strix B650-A motherboard, and two 16GB sticks of DDR5 6000 RAM. I kept my old case, fans, PSU, and AIO cooler. However, when I try to power it on, everything lights up but I get stuck at a 'CPU DRAM' yellow light. I've tried booting with just one stick of RAM and even removed my AIO cooler to check for bent CPU pins, but I still can't access the BIOS. Any tips on what might be going wrong? Thanks!

Updating the BIOS is crucial, and you can usually do it without posting. Check the manual for your motherboard for specific instructions. Good luck!

Did you let the memory train? For AM5 setups, sometimes you need to wait 20-30 minutes on the first boot. Give that a shot!

I didn’t! I’m waiting now to see if that helps.

Also, make sure you're plugging in all required power connectors. Newer boards like yours usually need two CPU power plugs. It's worth double-checking that everything is fully seated.

First off, have you tried updating the BIOS for your motherboard? It's key to get the latest version for your new CPU to ensure compatibility and optimal performance.

Here are some things you could try: make sure all components are seated properly, especially the power connections to the motherboard. Sometimes a loose connector can cause issues. Also, download the latest BIOS to a USB drive and use the Q-Flash button on the motherboard to update it. Avoid beta versions as they might not be stable.

Great advice! Also, check if your RAM is compatible. If you haven't yet, try booting with a stick in each slot to rule out faulty slots.
