Hey everyone! I'm in a bit of a bind here. I'm not very tech-savvy, but I tried to enable Secure Boot to play Call of Duty. In the process, I restored the factory keys, which has led my PC into a restart loop. I followed some advice to clear the CMOS, which didn't work, so I opened up my PC to clean my CPU fan. After removing and then reattaching it, I attempted the CMOS reset again. Now, my PC is completely dead—no restart loop, no lights, nothing! Just a little worried because when I took the fan off, I didn't warm the CPU. Any ideas on what I should do next? My motherboard is a GIGABYTE GA-B150M-DS3H.

Ouch, sounds like you might have run into a BitLocker issue since you enabled Secure Boot. When you restored the factory keys, it probably warned you that your OS might not boot, but now if your PC won't power on at all, it could be related to the CPU fan issue. If you completely removed the heatsink when cleaning, it might be struggling without proper heat transfer. Also, check your RAM sticks; sometimes, they can get loose. Double-check everything in there!
Yeah, if the heatsink isn’t seated properly it could affect everything. Make sure the CPU fan cable is plugged back in, too!
If you think it’s totally bricked, you might need to consider a new one. But I’d hold off on that until you troubleshoot a bit more. Can you confirm it’s really dead?
Not sure if it's bricked, that’s why I’m asking. I'm hoping there's a fix!
You might want to try re-seating the CPU if the heatsink was really stuck when you took it off. Sometimes that can loosen the CPU connection in its socket, which would cause issues. It’s worth a shot!
Okay, I’ll give that a try. Thanks for the tip!

I didn’t remove the thermal paste when cleaning, but the heatsink came off in a chunk. Should I worry about it not being connected well?
