Hey everyone, I'm not the most tech-savvy person, and I could really use some help! Yesterday, I accidentally spilled a bit of water on my phone. I didn't think it was too much, so I just wiped it off with a towel. Later on, I got a notification saying there was liquid detected in the charging port. I tried a bunch of tricks like playing anti-water frequencies and shaking it, but the warning stayed. I figured I'd wait until the morning for it to air dry since there wasn't any wetness I could feel. But when I woke up today, my phone was completely out of battery! Now I can't tell if there's still water in the port when charging because it won't turn on. I've used a cold hair dryer on it for a brief moment (I know, I know, it might not have been the best choice) and I've tried to get some tissue in there, but nothing substantial is coming out. I'm really worried about damaging my phone since I rely on it for work and I need it to sign in soon. What should I do? How can I make sure the liquid is gone without knowing if the phone can even turn on?

You can try using a wireless charger if you have one, or just plug it in to see if it starts charging. If your phone is truly water-resistant, it shouldn't have any liquid inside as long as that feature is working properly. But be cautious; if it’s detecting liquid, it might still be a good practice to let it dry a little longer before charging.
The iPhone 14 is water-resistant, so it shouldn’t take in water unless something damaged the seal. The liquids/charging notification could be a false alarm from some debris. But do keep in mind that significant impacts can damage the adhesive seal which allows water in. If you’re worried, just handle it carefully and let it dry more before charging.
I've washed my phones a few times in the sink, so it can handle a bit of moisture. You might find that using a warm hairdryer helps along with shaking it to get out any residual water. Also, try playing some music to create vibrations that might help expel any leftover moisture.

Yeah, but if it’s at 0% battery and it has fluid in there, turning it on could cause more problems. Just be careful! You might want to leave it off a bit longer if you can.
