Hey everyone! My phone is telling me to format my SD card after the battery died and restarted. The issue is that I have really important files on that card, and formatting would erase everything. I also checked my settings under storage, but I can't find any SD card storage listed. Has anyone dealt with this before? What should I do?

You might want to connect the card to a PC with an adapter and use a tool like chkdsk to fix any file errors. There are also data recovery programs like DMDE that could help you recover files without formatting.
Could it be that the SD card isn’t placed correctly? Since you mentioned you opened your phone for a battery change, maybe try removing and reinserting the card. If you have a card reader, plug it into a computer to see if you can access the files directly.
Thanks for the tip! Just to clarify, my battery died suddenly and I charged it before turning it back on, which is when the issue with the SD card started.
It seems like the data got corrupted, which really sucks. You would think phones would manage data better when things like this happen. Just be careful with formatting—it'll wipe everything!

I appreciate the advice! Is it okay if I wait a few days to do this? I don't have a PC or adapter where I am right now.
