I'm transitioning from console to PC gaming since my Xbox One S is no longer working and my current Mac isn't cutting it. My budget is strictly $600, and while I know that's not a lot compared to some expensive builds I've seen on social media, I'm focused on getting the best performance possible. I don't care about looks—just a plain black setup will do. I'll primarily use this for gaming, with some light video editing and schoolwork. My school has provided laptops for most homework, so gaming is the main goal. I'm also considering turning my Mac into a homelab after I figure out how to get started. If anyone has suggestions for a complete build within my budget, that would be awesome!

At this budget, you're better off looking for used PCs on marketplaces. New components for $600 won't get you very far if you're aiming high on performance. A pre-built used PC can often give you better specs for your money. Good luck with your search!
Yeah, I totally agree! If you can, scout out some local listings for second-hand parts or whole systems. You might find something decent that fits your price range. Also, keep an eye out for deals on gaming-focused stores. Don't lose hope!
